Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. “Solar activity is gradually reducing. Solar activity that was observed in the 50s, 60s and 70s is not observed now. Its reason is unknown,” chief of the Sun and solar-terrestrial relationship Department of Shamakhi-based Tusi Astrophysical Observatory of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Namig Jalilov told APA.
He said that the degree and level of the solar activity nuclear fusion in the Sun were to remain constant, because the nuclear fusion reaction in the Sun was at the same speed. Jalilov noted that its reasons are still unknown: “This process has positive results. If the flares are weak and plasma ejection is not intensive, it means that we can live in peace. The Sun does not threaten us.”
Informing about solar flares, Jalilov noted that one more flare was recorded yesterday: “Like previous ones, it has also average power. Now the solar activity is maximal, therefore such flares occur frequently. These flares are not so powerful. Even if they will move toward the Earth, we feel nothing. Maximal level of the solar activity will go on until mid-2014. Then the solar activity will reduce.”
