According to Azerbaijani Parliament, the annexes are related to annexes and amendments made to the Law of the Azerbaijan Republic on Citizenship recently.
A new article will be annexed to the Criminal Code in connection with the annex “If Azerbaijani citizen does not inform the relevant body about acquisition of citizenship of a foreign state in the written form within a month, he/she will bear responsibility in accordance with the Criminal Code” made to the article #10. According to this annex, if the Azerbaijani citizen who acquired citizenship of a foreign state does not inform his/her country about it within a month, he/she will be fined and punished by imprisonment for 2 years.
The annex made to the Criminal Code will be discussed at the autumn session of the parliament.
