As the Azerbaijani citizens living abroad were deprived of this opportunity, there were problems in determining the rules for their pension provision. Certain amendments have been made to the legislation, chairman of the State Social Protection Fund Elman Mehdiyev told journalists, APA-Economics reports.
He said new amendments determine the mechanism for submission of documents for pension provision.
"Basing on these rules, the internal rules of the Foreign Ministry and State Social Protection Fund have been updated. According to these rules, the Azerbaijani citizens are to submit the necessary documents to the consular departments. Consular departments will submit the documents to the State Social Protection Fund through the Foreign Ministry," he said.
