Kamaladdin Heydarov meets community representatives in Naftalan

Naftalan. Azer Mammadli-APA. Minister for Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov met community representatives in Naftalan.

Head of Naftalan region Executive Power Natig Aslanov, entrepreneurs and representatives of the city attended the meeting, APA’s west bureau reports

N.Aslanov spoke about activities in various areas carried out in the city in recent years, including the improvement and development of tourism.

Speaking further at the event Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov said that Azerbaijan's economy under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev has developed rapidly in recent years, has implemented large-scale projects in various fields. The minister also talked about the events such as the construction of new schools on the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, infrastructure projects which serve the well-being of citizens.

Noting plunge in oil prices on the world market affected the economy of Azerbaijan, as in other oil countries, the minister stressed the importance of decrees and orders of the Head of State in this connection: “Undertaken measures demonstrate that the country is on the right path in order to safely get out of the situation.”

Speaking about realized social and economic projects, measures to ensure food security, business support, Kamaladdin Heydarov stressed that the purpose of the meetings in the regions is in accordance with the decree of the President to be acquainted with the standard of living of citizens, the problems and difficulties faced by entrepreneurs and find ways to overcome them.

“Naftalan has great tourism potential. The city made a lot for the development in tourism, and activities in this direction should continue. Naftalan oil is known worldwide. It is necessary to strengthen the potential through the creation of new tourism companies and agencies, advertise it with the help of Azerbaijani embassies," minister added.

Speakers at the meeting put forward proposals for the development of tourism, attracting tourists to the region, the creation of new farms to ensure the population of the region and guests environmentally friendly agricultural products, the opening of new businesses in Naftalan, etc.
