Earlier, some media outlets reported that the patient with diabetes Tarlan Mammadova, 82, who was diagnosed with amputation of the left leg, was operated in the Angiology and Microsurgical Center of the Health Ministry on June 24. However, after the completion of the operation, the patient’s relatives did not believe their eyes when they saw that her healthy right leg was amputated instead of the inflamed left leg.
According to the ministry, the case is being investigated jointly with law-enforcement authorities.
Additional information will be provided about the results of the investigation, the ministry stated.
