The Health Ministry told APA that on June 27, 32-year-old Aghabalayeva Shahla Aydin was taken to the hospital for giving birth. Birth was carried out at 18:50. At that time, it was determined that fetus in mother’s womb was dead and it was removed naturally. The woman’s state deteriorated 10 minutes later. Despite all medical interventions, doctors could not save Aghabalayeva Shahla’s life.
According to preliminary version, the woman died of thromboembolism: “It is difficult to announce the exact reasons of her death unless the Health Ministry’s commission investigates. There are some problems for examining the reasons, due to the lack of postmortem dissection. But the commission will investigate this fact basing on medical documents.”
It was told that the woman’s relatives rejected postmortem dissection.
The fact of death was recorded at the maternity ward of Ismayilli Central Hospital yesterday. Resident of Lahij, 32-year-old Aghabalayeva Shahla Aydin was taken to the hospital for giving birth. Boy was born dead, then the woman died.
It is reported that Aghabalayeva had two daughters and worked as a teacher of the Azerbaijani language and literature at a school in Lahij.
Ismayil Regional Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the fact.
