Baku – APA. As part of a joint project by Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi and the French Embassy in Azerbaijan, a five-day training program titled “Tomorrow’s Hardworking Ambassadors” was held in Baku for the 6th- and 10th-graders of the European Azerbaijan School (EAS) and Baku city schools.
The purpose of the project was to help pupils grow up as active citizens in schools and in their public-social and business life after finishing schools, and become businessmen in the areas of business and management, EAS told APA.
The project was aimed at helping pupils raise active citizens, social-minded managers, responsible and time-conscious leaders and as persons skilled in business correspondence and working in a multicultural atmosphere.
The program’s language was English. It gave pupils the opportunity to further improve their English and receive knowledge from the internationally-recognized university’s staff.
Prof. Florent Pratlong of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi led the program and the training was held on the basis of 5 modules.
International economic relations, strategic planning and social impact;
School portfolio development and university life, scholarship opportunities, filling in application and correspondence styles;
Socio-economic programs, individual development of ICT skills, customer relationship management, time management;
Self-assessment and self-reliance skills, preparing presentations and speeches;
Team activities, multicultural work environment, tolerance and project management;
The program was joined by 31 pupils from the European Azerbaijan School, as well as 16 pupils from the Baku Talents Education Complex, the Lyceum named after Z. Aliyeva and Gymnasium named after N.Tusi.
France’s Embassy in Azerbaijan presented all program participants the certificates of Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi in secondary school of the European Azerbaijan School in Badamdar. Senior staff of the European Azerbaijan School, Attaché on Cultural Affairs of the French Embassy Johann Shiterer and Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi Counselor for work with the CIS and Turkey Imran Mukhtarov also attended the event.
