He said that Azerbaijani state has increased attention to maternal and infant health: “Maternal mortality rate also decreased in the country. This figure dropped to 14.9 per mille.”
Aghayev noted that infant health centers are reconstructed and refurbished in all regions and cities in recent years: “Azerbaijan has a positive result in population growth rate. The population growth rate is 13 people. 173 500 people were born only in 2012. This is a significant increase compared to previous years.”
Deputy Health Minister said that medical institutions of more than 200 000 square meters would be opened in Azerbaijan by the end of the year.
