Baku. Shahriyar Alizade – APA. Baku Court of Grave Crimes on Tuesday resumed the hearing on the criminal case of Rufat Zahidov and Rovshan Zahidov, who are the relatives of Ganimat Zahid, the editor-in-chief of Azadliq newspaper.
A verdict was issued at the hearing presided over by judge Eldar Mikayilov. Under the verdict, each of them was sentenced to six years in prison.
Both persons are charged under the Article 234.4.1 (illegal manufacturing, purchase, storage, transportation, transfer or selling of narcotics, psychotropic substances on preliminary arrangement by group of persons or organized group) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan.
