CMB deputy chairman Haji Fuad Nurullah told APA that this information is not correct, but it may occur on that date.
Noting that it will be determined a day before the holiday basing on CMB schedule, Nurullah said they have no information that the new moon will occur on the night of August 6-7 at 02:52 as stated by Shamakhi Observatory: “Only Allah knows. If Allah doesn’t renew the moon, how can these persons see it? How can they predict it? They can announce it as an observatory through mathematical calculations only together with us.”
The CMB official reveals his theory in this regard: “Naturally, we will know the date of the new moon a day before of tomorrow evening in accordance with our horizon. The new moon can be observed a day before the holiday.”
Deputy director of Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory Khidir Mikayilov told APA that after the month of Ramadan, the new moon will occur on the night of August 6-7 at 02:52. According to him, the new moon will be visible after 2-3 days: “The new moon will be seen partially on August 9 and fully on August 10.”
According to the Ramadan calendar of the Caucasian Muslims Board, August 8 is the last day of the month of Ramadan.
