Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences abolishes some departments

APA reports that the relevant decision has been passed at today’s meeting of ANAS Presidium.

According to the decision, scientific-organization department, scientific information department, foreign relations department, secretariat, department of doctorate and personnel department of the central administration of the Presidium have been abolished.

Under another decision, Scientific-organization and Research office (including Scientific organization and Research department), International Relations Office (including department of relations with academic institutions of foreign countries and department of relations with international organizations), Education and personnel, Legal provision, Innovation, Public relations and General departments have been established.

ANAS academic-secretary Rasim Aliguliyev said that no changes have been made in the central administration of the Presidium over last 20 years: “Time has changed and priorities of the science of Azerbaijan have also changed. New changes aim to improve science management.”

In accordance with new structures of the central administration of ANAS Presidium, the regulations of the departments are to be submitted to ANAS Presidium within 10 days and proposals on effective placement of personnel on the new structure within 15 days.
