Azerbaijani Parliament told APA that these terms were reflected in the newly-developed draft law “On advertisements”.
Article #20.2 of the draft law envisages that advertising broadcast is banned while the speeches of President, Prime Minister, Speaker of the Azerbaijani Parliament and Chairman of the Constitutional Court, sessions of the Azerbaijani Parliament, official state programs and programs on the activity of government agencies are on the air.
Article #20.3 envisages that advertising broadcast is banned on TV and radio programs on days of mourning declared by the relevant executive bodies.
The draft law says that the broadcast of news programs, religious programs intended for propaganda in line with the legislation, programs for minors, TV series lasting less than 30 minutes and actual political programs can not be cut with advertisements.
The draft law will be put up for discussion in the next plenary session of the Azerbaijani Parliament’s extraordinary session.
