Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As of August 1, 2013, the number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made 1,490,800 and 894,600 of them worked in the state sector, 596,200 – in non-state sector, said the State Statistical Committee.
22.8% of workers were in education, 18.8% - in trade, vehicle repair, 12.2% - in industry, 8.8% - in medical and social services to population, 7.0% - in construction, 4.9% - in transport and storehouse, 3.7% - in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2.9% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.8% - in information and communication and 17.1% - in other spheres.
