Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As of May 1, 2013, the number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made 1,479,400 and 896,400 of them worked in the state sector, 583,000 – in non-state sector, said the State Statistical Committee.
23.0% of workers were in education, 18.9% - in trade, vehicle repair, 12.3% - in industry, 8.8% - in medical and social services to population, 6.7% - in construction, 4.9% - in transport and storehouse, 3.7% - in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2.8% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.8% - in information and communication and 17.1% - in other spheres.
