The chairman said some MPs have made proposals in this regard.
He said that it was impossible to accept the proposals of the parliamentarians: “Generally, the notion of “foreigner” is a subject of legislation on citizenship. It is impossible to establish a special regime for the Azerbaijanis living in Georgia, Russia and other countries within the new Migration Code. The notions “citizen of the Republic of Azerbaijan" and "foreigner" are used in the Code. This is a legal document regulating migration issues. Therefore, it is impossible to realize these proposals in terms of the law.”
