The Ministry told APA that 1170 Azerbaijanis studied in 26 countries in the academic year 2012/2013 within “State Program on education of Azerbaijani youth abroad for 2007-2015”. 306 of them continued their education in Turkey, 278 in Germany, 200 in the UK, 126 in Canada, 46 in Russia, 39 in Switzerland, 35 in France, 24 in South Korea, 18 in the Kingdom of Netherlands, 17 in Australia, 10 in Austria, 7 in Lithuania and Italy, 6 in Czech Republic, 5 in Sweden and Spain, 4 in Ireland, 3 in Malaysia and Finland, 2 in Norway and 1 in each of Japan, Estonia, New Zealand, Singapore and Belgium.
Most students are studying in Turkey within the State Program.
712 students are studying in 6 countries within intergovernmental agreements.
442 of them continue their education in Turkey, 239 in Russia, 26 in China, 3 in Egypt, 1in the Czech Republic and 1 in Slovakia.
