10 children were adopted in Azerbaijan last year

Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. 37 children living in boarding schools and orphanages were returned to their biological families and close relatives under the orders of the district and city executive authorities.

According to the annual report of the Education Ministry, 10 (between the ages of 3-16) of 33 children included in the centralized list of the ministry were adopted in 2015.

12 children were prevented from being given to state childcare centers in 2015, totally 604 in the country.

Under the order of the Education Ministry, family type placement centre “small group home” was build for boys in Lankaran city. 12 boarding schools have been transformed, 2 have been canceled so far. 16 more boarding schools will be transformed.
