WUF13 NGO Coalition held its next meeting

The next meeting of the WUF13 NGO Coalition was held in a hybrid format on June 13, 2025, APA reports.

The main topic of the discussions held with the participation of 55 participants from 28 countries was “2026: Baku - The Road to the 13th World Urban Forum”.

The moderator of the event was Ramil Iskanderli, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum. During the meeting, information was exchanged on the mechanisms for involving NGOs in this global event.

Uzodinma Adirieje, Head of the Association of African Health Organizations (AHOA), Kamel Esseghairi, Head of the Arab Platform for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (APFREEE), Pradeep Mohapatra, Chairman of the Indian UDYAMA organization, Peter Ng'ola Oviti, Head of the Kenyan “Wote Youth Development Projects” organization and other participants shared their experiences and ideas. During the meeting, the participants were also informed about the establishment of the Organizing Committee by the order of President Ilham Aliyev in connection with the holding of the Thirteenth Session of the UN World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku in 2026. Member of the Board of the UN World Urban Forum, MP Parvana Valiyeva, and expert Amin Mammadov answered questions from foreign NGOs.
