The traditional Royal Windsor Horse Show, held annually in honor of the members of the Royal Family of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has successfully concluded, the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.

It was noted that under the high attention of President Ilham Aliyev and with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation led by First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, significant work has been done and important steps have been taken toward preserving and promoting the Karabakh horses — a national treasure — on a global scale.

One of the purposeful efforts carried out is Azerbaijan’s dignified representation at the Royal Windsor Horse Show — an event that has become an extremely important platform for promoting Azerbaijan's ancient and unique culture, and to which the country has been invited since 2012. The unique show programs and performances presented by Azerbaijan's delegation each year have become an indispensable part of this grand event.

Thanks to the strong support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the professional organization of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the cavalry unit and dance ensemble of the State Border Service once again successfully represented the country at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. Their performances, reflecting Azerbaijan's ancient history and national costumes, captured the attention of the audience and sparked great interest.

During the event, music performed on national instruments, the energetic dances of the “Serhedchi” dance ensemble, and the displays of bravery and courage by the State Border Service’s cavalry unit on Karabakh horses won great admiration from the British audience. Throughout the 20-minute daily shows, Azerbaijan's cavalrymen stood out for their high professionalism and precision.

As part of the event, two valuable pieces of art reflecting the country's rich culture were also presented. Information about the Azerbaijan pavilion organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was received with great interest by the guests. Later, a work by renowned artist Elnur Mahmudov was presented as a gift to King Charles III of the United Kingdom, while a handmade carpet by artist Aygun Naghiyeva was gifted to Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh.

At the climax of the event, the “Land of Fire – Azerbaijan” polo team achieved a brilliant 12–10 victory over the “Guards” polo team representing the city of Windsor, United Kingdom.

At the end of the match, the President of the International Polo Federation, Mr. Reto Gaudenzi, and the President of the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Elchin Guliyev, congratulated the “Land of Fire – Azerbaijan” team in the arena, thus concluding the prestigious event.
