Travelers from 30 countries around the world visiting Karabakh arrived in the city of Khankendi on July 10, following visits to Fuzuli and Shusha, APA’s local bureau reports.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts reported that the travelers got acquainted with the large-scale construction and restoration works being carried out in the central square of Khankendi.

Representatives of the Special Representative Office of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Khankendi city, Aghdara and Khojaly districts informed the guests about the work carried out after Khankendi was liberated from occupation. It was noted that along with the establishment of infrastructure, the city is regaining its true historical appearance, and today, Khankendi is turning into one of the most beautiful cities of Azerbaijan.

The travelers also visited the Khankendi city post office. World-renowned Irish traveler David Joseph Langan sent a letter and postcard from the Khankendi post office to Ireland and Canada. This historic event created a joyful atmosphere among the travelers.

Note that the group plans to travel over three days along the route of Fuzuli–Khojavend–Shusha–Khankendi–Khojaly–Aghdam–Kalbajar–Lachin–Zangilan–Jabrayil by road. This trip provides a significant opportunity to promote the liberated territories within the framework of “dark tourism” and to showcase the extensive reconstruction and restoration efforts.

Recall that over the past four years, 13 visits to Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur have been organized through major international traveler clubs.
