Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan, APA reports citing the Times of Israel.
Netsnyahu told US National Security Adviser that “Israel will do whatever is necessary to protect its security from any threat” emerging from Syria, after IDF troops advance into the buffer zone between the two countries, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.
Netanyahu stresses the importance of protecting minorities in Syria and the need to prevent terrorist attacks against Israel from Syrian territory, as Israeli officials have done since the rebels began their recent offensive that toppled the Assad regime.
