"Projects have been developed to strengthen the social protection of journalists," said Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency, APA reports.
He said that work is underway on projects for journalists to benefit from tax benefits and other social benefits: "In the near future, statements will be made in this regard."
A. Ismayilov noted that discussions in this direction are constantly held with Economy Ministry: “There is already a specific project to amend the Tax Code to address the concerns of journalists. We want the amendments to both the Law on Media and the Tax Code to be adopted simultaneously. It is offered to the Tax Code that to make tax benefits for a period of 5 years regarding journalists.”
