Photo and video materials on the torture and cruel treatment of Akhundov Huseyn Ahliman, born on 07.04.2003, a soldier of the Azerbaijani Army, were shown in the mass media of Armenia, the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
The State Commission on POWs, Missing Persons, and Hostages Citizens considers the severe torture of soldier Huseyn Akhundov during his detention to be a gross violation of the Geneva Conventions of August 12, 1949, and strongly condemns the other party's inhumanity and demands that captives be treated in accordance with international humanitarian law norms.
The State Commission made official pleas to the relevant international organizations for the abolition of such conditions threatening our soldiers' life and health, as well as their immediate release, urging the implementation of necessary measures.
