Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Matteo Salvini will insist on ending aid to Ukraine at the next government meeting, APA reports.
The politician announced this during a speech at the extraordinary congress of his League party, where he was overwhelmingly confirmed as national secretary.
"If you confirm me as secretary at this congress, then I consider this a mandate to defend the League's position at the upcoming Council of Ministers meeting, which is that we can no longer send money and weapons to Ukraine," Salvini said.
