Persons who produce, sell, or store dangerous food products for sale will be sentenced to 10 years in prison in Azerbaijan, this is reflected in the new Article 200-3 proposed to the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
According to the draft, the production, sale, or storage for sale of food products knowingly dangerous to human life and health, when committed in significant quantities, will be punishable by a fine ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 AZN, with or without the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in specific activities for up to two years, or by restriction of freedom for up to one year or imprisonment for up to one year.
