The remains of Fuad Jafar Alasgarov, who was considered missing during the First Karabakh War, were handed over to his family today in the Tovuz district, APA’s local bureau reports.
A farewell ceremony for the martyr was held in the Aghbashlar village of the district.
The farewell ceremony was attended by Mammad Mammadov, head of the Tovuz District Executive Power, the martyr’s family members, relatives, employees of the district executive power, heads of law enforcement agencies, and representatives of the public.
After the farewell ceremony, the martyr’s remains were laid to rest in the Aghbashlar village cemetery.
The military orchestra performed the National Anthem, and a volley of gunfire was fired.
Note that Fuad Alasgarov was born in 1974 in Aghbashlar village of the Tovuz district. He went missing in 1993 in the Fuzuli district area.
