During the 22-year leadership of Mr. Ilham Aliyev, who transformed Azerbaijan into the most powerful state in its history and wrote his name in golden letters by solving the most difficult and fateful problem of our people, Azerbaijan has achieved successes that no independent state in the 21st century has been able to achieve, said Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov at a special meeting dedicated to President Ilham Aliyev's visit to Washington held at the Cabinet of Ministers, APA reports.
"I think that the words of US President Donald Trump to President Ilham Aliyev: "You are a great leader" are a high value and appreciation for the unparalleled activities of our head of state.
"Today, we can say with full confidence that the consistent political and socio-economic reforms implemented in Azerbaijan, the strengthening of defense capabilities, army building and national security, ensuring the inviolability of borders, as well as the successes achieved in the field of international cooperation, projects that redraw the energy and transport map of the world, in which Azerbaijan is an initiator and participant, the liberation of our lands from occupation and the full restoration of our sovereignty, the confirmation of Azerbaijan's strategic leadership in the region by the Washington Victory - all this is the beginning of greater development of our country," the Prime Minister emphasized.
Ali Asadov noted that in order to maintain the achievements, one must always have a strong state, a strong economy, and a strong defense capability: “I believe that the only formula for achieving this is the power of iron logic, iron will, and iron fist, concentrated in the personality of President Ilham Aliyev, who puts the interests and national and spiritual values of his people above all else. On behalf of the government, I would like to state once again that we will continue to do our utmost to ensure the timely, complete, and high-quality implementation of all tasks and duties set by the esteemed President in order to achieve these goals.”
