Currently, more than 23,000 residents have been settled in the districts of Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly. Repair and reconstruction work continues in several residential areas, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports, citing the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi and the districts of Aghdara and Khojaly.
Speaking at an event hosted at Karabakh University on November 24 as part of the “Mobile Youth Service” project dedicated to the “Year of the Constitution and Sovereignty,” Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President in Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly, said that reconstruction efforts in the liberated territories are rapidly advancing.
He noted that extensive infrastructure projects — including new highways, railways, airports, as well as electricity and water supply systems — are being implemented intensively across the region.
According to Gahramanov, socio-economic support programs aimed at boosting entrepreneurship and employment have created new job opportunities for local residents.
Highlighting the importance of youth engagement and education for sustainable national development, he emphasized that Karabakh University plays a significant role in the region’s intellectual and social progress. The university currently hosts more than 2,000 students who actively participate in social and innovative initiatives.
“In short, ensuring the region’s sustainable development and supporting the return of residents to their homeland remain among the state’s top priorities. This event is an important step for strengthening youth development in the region and fostering future social projects,” Gahramanov stated.
