“Necessary measures have been done for foreigners to live in Azerbaijan. The past two years were a difficult period for migrants due to the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, the stay of foreigners in Azerbaijan was extended, their expulsion from the country was not mandatory,” the head of the State Migration Service Vusal Huseynov told journalists, APA reports.
He noted that currently, 132 thousand foreigners live in Azerbaijan.
“Those who are from Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, and Georgia are in the first place. 13 percent of them are those who are living termless during 15 days. Those who are living more than 15 days are registered in a relevant manner.”
