According to him, recently, activation has been recorded not only in traditional landslide zones of Baku, but also in the areas, where landslide has not been observed earlier: “For example, landslide in Bayil residential area of Baku is normal. But landslide has not been recorded in Badamdar up to now. The reason of the landslide in that area is the lack of sewerage system”.
Abid Sharifov said the owners of the houses in this territory solve the sewage problem by digging wells, which results in landslide and serious consequences.
Deputy Prime Minister said work has started establishing sewage system in the abovementioned territories.
“This requires large funds. The main thing is that we have started it in time,” he said.
