ANAS abolishes post of first vice-president

Baku. Kamala Guliyeva – APA. Vice-presidents of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences were re-elected. APA reports that 4 vice-president posts of ANAS were established at today’s meeting. Post of the first vice-president was abolished.

Academicians Akif Hajiyev (director of ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics), Ibrahim Guliyev (director of Institute of Geology), Isa Habibbeyli (rector of Nakhchivan State University) and Tofig Naghiyev were elected as vice-presidents of the ANAS.

Director of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS Rasim Aliguliyev became the Academic-Secretary of ANAS.

Ahliman Amiraslanov has been elected as academic-secretary of Department of Biology and Medical Sciences, Garib Mammadov as academic-secretary of Department of Agrarian Sciences, Akif Hajiyev as academic-secretary of Department of Mathematics-Physics and Technical Sciences, Fakhraddin Gadirov as academic-secretary of Department of Earth Sciences, Kamal Abdullayev as academic-secretary of Department of Humanities and Sociology and Ilgar Tagiyev as academic-secretary of Department of Chemical Sciences.
