According to the amendment, a driver’s right to drive will be restricted for a year and he/she will face from AZN 400 to 600 fines for reckless driving, demonstrative actions violating public order and peace, actions that are disrespectful to the community and biased actions accompanied with various ways of continuous violation of traffic rules, according to the circumstances of the case, taking into account the identity of the perpetrator, the right to drive will be restricted for a year and they will face from 15 days up to a month administrative detention (up to now it was from 5 days up to 10 days),.
If a person facing an administrative penalty within a year violates the rules again, he/she will face 2 years driving restriction and fines from AZN 600 up to 800, according to the circumstances of the case, taking into account the identity of the perpetrator, 2 years driving restriction and from a month up to 2 months administrative detention (up to now it was from 10 days up to 15 days).
The relevant amendments have been submitted to Azerbaijani Parliament undersigned by Prosecutor General Zakir Garalov. The letter received by the Parliament envisages that the amendments have been agreed by Azerbaijani Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Supreme Court.
