“Baku Heart Days” 3rd International Congress kicks off

Baku. Konul Kamilgizi – APA. The 3rd International Congress “Baku Heart Days” dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Heydar Aliyev has kicked off in Gulustan Palace today.
APA reports that chairman of Azerbaijan Society for Cardiovascular Surgery (ASCS) Kamran Musayev read the message of President Ilham Aliyev on "Baku Heart Days" 3rd International Congress. Following this, Kamran Musayev said that the aim of the congress attended by about 40 cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons is to contribute to the development of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery, to hold discussions with foreign experts over the latest achievements of medical science in this regard.

Boyukkishi Agayev, Director of Scientific Surgical Center named after Topchubashov said that number of heart diseases is increasing all over the world, including Azerbaijan. He said the government always pays attention to health care, treatment of cardiac patients and other issues: "I believe that the discussions within this congress will contribute to the further development of cardiology."

“Baku Heart Days” 3rd International Congress will last till May 19. The ASCS organized the “Baku Heart Days” 1st International Congress on 9-11 May, 2009, which was a great success and joined by representatives from 16 countries. Two years later, the “Baku Heart Days” 2nd International Congress was held on 13-15, 2011 and was equally successful. This time, the number of participating countries reached 26.
