To date, more than 500 travelers have visited Karabakh, Mehrac Mahmudov, the organizer of the travelers' visit to Azerbaijan, told media representatives as part of tavelers' trip to Jabrayil, APA’s local bureau reports.
“Nearly 500 travelers have visited Karabakh so far. Today, another 30 travelers have arrived. The group includes visitors from 14 countries. Among them, 9 are travelers who have explored every part of the world. We mainly tour on showing them our liberated territories and introducing them to the ongoing reconstruction efforts. We also inform them about the extent of landmine contamination in Karabakh. They ask many questions about each place they see, and we try to answer all of them. Yes, many of them express their regret that such a small area could be so heavily mined. As you know, the difference between travelers and tourists is that travelers explore in a planned and purposeful way, dedicating their lives to this. Regular tourists simply visit the places they choose,” he noted.
