Moldova has recalled its ambassador from Russia for consultations after a drone crashed and exploded in the village of Crocmaz, in the Ștefan Vodă district, mezha.net reports.
The incident occurred on August 9 and caused damage to residential buildings near the blast site.
Moldova’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the drone’s presence on the country’s territory, describing it as a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
This incident constitutes a serious violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and has jeopardized the safety of our citizens, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
