A traditional media tour "Following the President's footsteps" was organized in Fuzuli district, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.
Media representatives first visited the Garakhanbeyli village of the district.
Leyla Sarabi, press secretary of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service in Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts, provided journalists with detailed information about the new village to be built. He said that the village, the foundation of which was laid by the head of state, will accommodate residents of the villages of Garakhanbeyli and Merdinli, which were destroyed during the Armenian occupation:
“The project will be implemented in two stages. The first stage, which is expected to be completed next year, will be implemented on an area of about 87 hectares. At this stage, 404 families, a total of 1,861 people, are expected to be resettled. 404 individual houses will be built in the area, including 81 two-room, 202 three-room, 101 four-room, and 20 five-room. It is planned to build social infrastructure in the village, including administrative and service buildings, a school, a kindergarten, a medical center, and lay about 16 kilometers of internal roads, as well as electricity, gas, water and sewage lines,” he added.
L. Sarabi also noted that the second stage, which will cover 2027-2030, will be implemented on an area of about 230 hectares. During that period, 1075 families, a total of 4093 people, are expected to be relocated here. 771 individual houses with two, three, four and five rooms and two-three-story residential buildings will be built. The construction of a school and 2 kindergartens is also planned within the framework of the second stage. The number of population and houses was determined taking into account the 20-year perspective development of the village.
