A media tour has been organized to the building of the Clinic of Karabakh University and the academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, APA’s Karabakh bureau reports.
Media representatives were informed that the academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of Karabakh University has been equipped with modern equipment that meets contemporary standards. The building includes 10 classrooms and 9 lecture rooms, 3 laboratories, work and examination rooms, relaxation areas, a library, and briefing halls. In addition, microbiology and histology laboratories, cell cultivation, and other administrative offices will operate here. The faculty will offer six-year medicine and four-year nursing programs, developed jointly by local and international experts based on international experience. The modern education model to be applied here will allow students to turn their theoretical knowledge into practical skills at the Clinic of Karabakh University.
The head of the Clinic of Karabakh University and Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Samir Babayev, told journalists that students will also be provided with comprehensive opportunities to conduct research and develop leadership skills. One of the distinctive features of the faculty is the inclusion of an arts program in the curriculum as an elective subject. Art holds significant importance in terms of developing students' self-expression, teamwork, and communication skills.
Note that the clinic was established based on the Decree signed by President Ilham Aliyev in February of this year. The clinic building will house 23 doctor’s offices, laboratories, X-ray, emergency care, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and angio rooms. Within a short period, a modern educational infrastructure for the medical field has been created at the higher education institution. The clinic will ensure the professional training of students studying medicine at Karabakh University, conduct scientific research in this field, and play an important role in protecting the health of the population in the region. At the same time, teaching, research, and medical service activities will be carried out here.
Recall that on September 14, President Ilham Aliyev participated in the opening ceremony of the Clinic building of Karabakh University and the academic building of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in the city of Khankendi.
