“16 years have passed since the establishment of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” Minister of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel-General Kamaladdin Heydarov told journalists, APA reports.
Mr. Heydarov emphasized that the Ministry of Emergency Situations was established to ensure the safe life of the population: "The Ministry of Emergency Situations was provided with high logistics with the support of the President."
The Minister noted that it was important to establish such a flexible ministry: "Previously, the structures subordinated to other agencies carried out this work, but it was important to concentrate these structures in one ministry."
