A large-scale tactical-special training was held today in the Hovsan settlement of Baku with the participation of the International Search and Rescue Team (MUSAR AZE-01) of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, APA reports.
In addition to the Ministry's search and rescue forces, the equipment and forces of the Medical Service and Aviation Team, as well as emergency volunteers, also participated in the exercise.
During the exercise, the main efforts were focused on the application of international management systems and modern search and rescue methods, as well as the implementation of complex tasks using aviation vehicles.
At the same time, the main goal of the exercise was to further enhance the professional training of the Team, which successfully passed the classification of the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA), to improve the readiness of management, coordination, logistics, medical and search and rescue units for international humanitarian operations and action plans in this field, as well as to ensure the continuity of response in the event of possible disasters.
It should be noted that the International Search and Rescue Team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations successfully passed the classification conducted by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG) of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) on September 25, with the participation of international experts, and was awarded an international certificate (MUSAR AZE-01).
