In general, social expenditures in all directions exceed 40% of state budget expenditures, said Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov during the discussion of the draft law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025” in the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) in the third reading, APA reports.
The Prime Minister noted that in 2025, new increases in the minimum wage, pensions, benefits and other social payments will cover about 3 million citizens: “In the last 5 years, 4 social reform packages worth 7 billion manats have covered 4 million citizens. More funds have been provided in the state budget for the next year for the development of modern education and improving the population's access to quality and advanced medical services.
The sustainability of economic growth and increasing competitiveness directly depend on the situation in the labor market and the quality of human capital.”
