"The identification works of persons buried in mass graves in Azerbaijan could last at least 10 years," Forensic Coordinator at the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Elif Gunce Eskikoy said, APA reports.
According to her, despite how much this process is sped up, it is a time consuming work: "Removal of the human skeleton intact affects carrying out the laboratory works positively. No DNA test can give 100 percent results. If the skeleton is removed intact, a result could be obtained by taking two samples. The laboratory tests can take a long time if the bones are scattered."
