"At present, the Georgian government does not expect the situation with the supply of natural gas to deteriorate and hopes can provide the country with "blue fuel" at a stable price," said Levan Davitashvili, Vice Prime-Minister, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, APA-Economics reports citing the Georgian press.

"We do not expect our conditions to deteriorate today and hope to continue our cooperation with partners in the long run, since Georgia respects the supplier country - Azerbaijan, and even if the situation changes, we will remain committed to longer, more stable agreements," Davitashvili said.

He stressed that cooperation with Azerbaijan is not based on one year, it is a long-term, strategic form of cooperation.

"We believe that Georgia will be able to provide supplies from this major energy supplier based on the proper, deep, and good communication and coordination with friendly countries," Davitashvili said.
