The solar wind speed is expected to increase due to the Coronal Mass Ejections (CEMs) that occurred on December 24, Shamakhi Astrophysics Observatory told APA.
Geomagnetic field – the CEMs that occurred on December 24 has a velocity of about 1900 km/s and is expected to reach Earth on December 27. Therefore, a G1 (weak) level geomagnetic storm is likely to occur. After that the geomagnetic field is predicted to be mild.
