Creating a single center for combating crime in CIS proposed

It has been proposed to create a unified center for combating crime within the CIS, said Yuri Nikolayevich Zhdanov, Executive Secretary of the CIS Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member States, at the international conference organized by the Prosecutor General's Office in Lachin, APA reports.

He stated that the modern era presents new challenges both to society and to prosecutorial bodies: “Illegal trafficking of narcotic substances, smuggling, violations in the field of property rights — all of these are challenges of our time, and the prosecutor’s office stands at the forefront of the fight against these dangerous phenomena. Combating crime in cyberspace is essential. citizens – from the richest to the poorest – regardless of their financial status, as well as corporations and even entire states! We must all unite our efforts in the exchange of successful experiences and information in the fight against cybercriminals, and in the mutual professional development of prosecutorial staff of CIS member states.

I consider it necessary to raise the issue of creating a unified center that will provide my colleagues with the opportunity to study the legislation and practices of different countries in the fight against crime.”
