Regarding the recent events (Israel’s airstrikes on Iran - ed.), there will be no problems for pilgrims returning to Azerbaijan from the Hajj pilgrimage, Vusal Jahangiri, Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Caucasus Muslims Office (CMO) and Head of the Hajj Electronic System, told APA.
“They have informed us from AZAL that there will be no problems with the return of the pilgrims. If the current situation continues, flight routes will be changed, and flights will be carried out through a safe air corridor.”
V. Jahangiri also noted that if pilgrims return independently, outside of the contract, the Caucasus Muslims Office will not be responsible if any problems arise.
