The IX International Congress of the Baku Heart Days dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev has been organized by the Azerbaijan Society of Cardiovascular Surgery, APA reports.
Representatives from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan participated in the meeting and discussed topics related to the history and current state of heart surgery.
The moderator of the event, Honorary President of the Azerbaijan Society of Cardiovascular Surgery Prof. Dr. Kamran Musayev stated that the goal of the meeting was to discuss the current state of cardiovascular surgery in Turkish-speaking countries, create opportunities for specialists to share their knowledge and experiences, and further strengthen relationships.
Scientific presentations were heard at the conference, collaboration opportunities were discussed, and the main directions for future projects were determined.
Note that the congress, attended by nearly 400 local and foreign cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons from more than 20 countries, aimed to contribute to the development of cardiology and cardiovascular surgery in Azerbaijan, engage in exchange of ideas with foreign specialists, and discuss the latest advancements in medical science in this field. The Baku Heart Days IX International Congress has been recognized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan as a Continuing Medical Education event, and participants of the congress received 20 CME credits.
