As a result of heavy rains in the southern part of the country since the night of March 19, 2022, increased water content in rivers and water canals, short-term floods, some individual houses, yards and fields, facilities and their surroundings were flooded, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Emergency Situations told APA.
It was noted that in order to eliminate complications caused by rains, relevant forces and equipment of the Southern Regional Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Civil Defense Troops, Special Risk Rescue Service, Small Vessels Control and Water Rescue Service and State Fire Protection Service were involved in Mollaoba, Bedalan, Teze Alvadi villages of Masalli region, Baciravan village of Jalilabad region for conducting rescue, and other emergency measures. As a result of emergency measures, evacuation of 39 people was carried out.
