A media tour was organized in the village of Khanyurdu in the Khojaly district, APA reports.
Media representatives were informed that 40 private houses in the village have already been fully restored, and another 65 private houses are planned to be restored by the end of the year. In 2026, 93 private houses will be repaired and restored. On July 14 this year, 33 families, a total of 122 people, returned to their native village of Khanyurdu.
Head of the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, Afat Telmangizi, said that necessary work is currently being done to build the village's social infrastructure at a modern level. A 14-kilometer-long 10 kV power line has been repaired and restored, the metering process has begun, a natural gas line over 10 kilometers long has been laid, an existing line over 4 kilometers long has been restored, an artesian well, a 400-cubic-meter water reservoir and a drinking water network have been repaired, a 10.4-kilometer-long communication line has been laid, and subscribers have been provided with landline telephone, internet and IPTV services. More than two kilometers of roads within the village have been asphalted. Preparatory work is underway to repair and restore the building of a general education institution, and the building intended for an outpatient center and a market is being overhauled. A recreation park has been built on an area of one hectare in the village.
It should be noted that President Ilham Aliyev visited the village of Khanyurdu in Khojaly on July 18 and met with residents.
