The State Examination Centerof Azerbaijan will hold entrance exams in the city of Khankendi on May 25 and June 1. This is the first entrance exam held in the liberated territories, the Center told APA.
The State Examination Center will hold university entrance exams for II and III groups on May 25, and for I and IV groups on June 1.
This year, the entrance exams will be organized in 24 cities and districts across the country. The State Examination Center will also conduct entrance exams in the city of Khankendi on both May 25 and June 1. These will be the first entrance exams held in the liberated territories. The exams will take place at Karabakh University. In addition to candidates from Khankendi, applicants residing in Khojaly, Aghdara, Shusha, and Lachin will also participate. Furthermore, this year’s graduates from M. Ulugbek School in Fuzuli, M. Mehdizade School in Jabrayil, and the Aghali Village Secondary School in Zangilan will sit for their entrance exams in Khankendi.
A total of 51 applicants are expected to participate in the exam on May 25, and 21 applicants in the exam on June 1.
Recall that since 2023, the State Examination Center has begun conducting school-leaving (final) exams at the general and full secondary education levels in the territories liberated from occupation.
The first such exam was held at the Aghali Village Secondary School in Zangilan district. Later, school-leaving exams were conducted in Lachin (Lachin City Secondary School No. 2 and Zabukh Village Secondary School), Fuzuli (M. Ulugbek Secondary School No. 1), and Aghdara (Talysh Village Secondary School).
In 2025, for the first time, school-leaving exams were also held in Shusha (Secondary School No. 1), Khankendi (Secondary School No. 4), Khojaly (Secondary School No. 1), Jabrayil (M. Mehdizade Secondary School), and again in Lachin (Sus Village Secondary School).
