Regarding the implementation of the Cooperation Program for 2024-2025 signed between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov, on June 18, a seminar on "Protection of socially vulnerable categories of the population" and a bilateral meeting of heads of structural institutions responsible for international affairs were held in Moscow, Prosecutor General's Office told APA.
At the meeting, the Azerbaijan Prosecutor's Office was represented by a delegation led by the head of the International Legal Cooperation Department, Erkin Alikhanov, which is consisting of Nigar Yahyazadeh, the prosecutor of that department, Emil Mirzayev, the senior prosecutor of the State Prosecution Department, and Hikmet Verdiyev, the prosecutor of the Department of Non-Prosecution of Criminal Proceedings. Speeches were delivered on the mentioned topic and detailed information was given about the reforms implemented in this field.
A meeting was held between the heads of international structural organizations and useful ideas were exchanged on issues of interest to the parties in order to discuss issues of cooperation in the fields of legal assistance and extradition in criminal cases.
